The Stone Edge Order Manager is the leading order management system for small-to-medium Web merchants. The Order Manager makes it easy to import orders from over 40 popular shopping carts and other sales channels and then gives you the tools you need to manage your business efficiently.The program includes features for managing orders, customers, inventory, purchasing, payment processing, packing and shipping, drop shipping, and more. Since 2000, over 2,500 small-to-medium sized Internet Merchants have trusted their day-to-day business operations to the Order Manager. While most of our users ship 10 to 500 orders per day, some ship as many as 4-5,000 orders per day, and 11 of our users were included in the 2010 Internet Retailer Top 500.
The Order Manager is a PC-based system, written in Microsoft Access and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). Over 90% of the program is provided with open source code, making it highly customizable. There are three editions of the program: Standard, which is our most popular version; Plus POS, which includes a virtual cash register system for brick-and-mortar stores; and Enterprise for larger companies and those with more users or data integration requirements. The Standard and Plus POS editions also use Microsoft Access for data storage, while the Enterprise Edition uses Microsoft SQL Server data files.
All of the versions of the Order Manager are priced so that even the smallest companies can afford them. And because it is traditional "buy it once" software, there are no per-transaction or revenue sharing charges. So even though the program compares favorably with much more expensive systems, it remains one of the best software bargains for growing companies and can often pay for itself in personnel savings in just a few weeks or months.
